Scrappy round by a number of players, inc Rory on D3, but he's still on a share of the lead going into the last round.

Hopefully that's his bad round (that Johan talked about) out of the way.

meanwhile tiger walks away with a cheque 8 times larger than alvero quiros' winning prize, just for turning up (presumably spitting on the green wasn't included as a requirement for the world's no. 1 stroppy, bad tempered clown...)

I noticed the tigger spitting on two other occasions, but these weren't on a green.

I'm sure others saw this too, but they're only making a fuss about one spitting event - is it permissable to spit when walking up the fairway or between holes, but not on the greens?

Well a big gob on a green could cause another player coming after him to get his ball stuck in the slime , not a nice thought.

commentator specifically noted that a following player could have to putt through it.
or, knowing how meticulous most pros are nowadays, spot it and wipe it away (or have their caddy do it)...

it was a good amount of gob fired as well...
and accompanied with the usual slamming of driver into turf on tee box when drive go awry, the mouthing off, the refusal to acknowledge fans or sign autographs...

tiger's tiger and likely will always be this way.
but he'd said he'd changed, and that's what hurts so bad...

Golf: Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy safely negotiated their way into the second round of the WGC-Accenture Matchplay but it was an early bath for Pádraig Harrington and Tiger Woods in the searing heat of the Tuscon desert in Arizona.

Spanked bigtime today. Still think he'll win the masters or open though

First win on the PGA Tour a couple of days before his birthday . . . sigh

Well Rory, time to start all over again

Happy Birthday, and happy Star Wars Day

-1 after 7, chasing -5. Keep your head, son, a couple of wee birdies and no bogies and you're there or thereabouts.
