Oh dear - i got it wrong - the rise is apparently due to unrest in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
My unreserved apologies to the Militants of the region for totally erroneously connecting them to Michael Jackson.

and a ho ho ho Tesco , yer having a laugh. The day after they put their price up 2p they bring in their 5p off a litre if you spend £50. Do they take us for total and utter mugs? Well, hands up HWM, i'll admit to being a bit of a mug cause Tescos (K'nagoney), being my nearest garage, is where i buy most of me petrol, but i'll use the 5p off voucher knowing full well that i'm only really saving 3p a litre. Still it does take it back below £1 a litre , albeit probably only briefly.

But to be fair i shud say that i am just back from Tesco (Ballymena) where its a much more reasonable 101.9
and after me 5p a litre off it came to a net 96.9. Can anyone beat that? The driving Ulster public has a rite 2 no.

I had 101.9 less me Bele Tele 4p off token. Only had to spend 65p instead of £50 for the discount.

But Colin but - u apparently totally fail to appreciate the bargains contained within my £50 shop (well in fact it came to a rather excessive £55.40p) the best offer being 18 x 500ml bottles of Old Speckled Hen (2 boxes of 9) for £16 = 88p a bottle. Better value than the Belfast Tele if u ask me. Ask any Old Speckled Hen drinker.

Diesel cheaper than petrol in Mexico by about 15 cents
Petrol now about £1.04 south of border but diesel still around 90p
Good chance deisel will rise at pumps as it has increased by almost 2p today in docks.

Oh dear , Tesco K'nagoney now up to 104.9.
Will be tempted to fill up in Donegal this weekend even tho the saving is marginal - but the saving will hopefully cover the increase in the price of at least one pint of Guinness @ Ravenhill.

Tesco back up to 104.9 (B'mena) but like Sainsburys they too have a 5p off a litre if u spend £50 instore.

I do wish they both wudnt do the same promotion at the same time - i end up with far too much wine, beer, loo roll/kitchen roll, washing up liquid and tins of beans and catfood in me house.
