Interesting.... a Williams connection?
Drew Hickey
DOB 16th May 1978
Height 1.93 m
Weight 101 kg
Position Back Row

Drew Hickey played for the Sydney University XV team, where he was coached by former Worcester coach Anthony Eddy, before signing for the Australian Super 12, NSW Waratahs.
In 2002 Drew came over to England and signed on with National Division One outfit Orrell, before joining Worcester Warriors the following season.

Back row star Hickey has played for the Australian Sevens side and also qualifies to play for Ireland thanks to an Irish father.

Wilson gone, Bowe leaves today and McMillan meant to be joining the exodus. We're now reputed to be signing a ZP squad player who has struggled to start over the last two seasons iirc.

Arghhhhh!!
In McMillan we are losing a player who has struggled to start for the last 3 seasons. It depends what way you look at it.

Hickey is a regular starter for the Warriors, a solid player, never sets the world alight, grafter. Who does that sound like??

Direct replacement for Roger, by the look of his stats, see link on mikerobs post, he has played most if not all games and scored a few trys.

Pass directly to 'go' and collect £200.

Think offering him a deal good enough to stay would have been the better option mind you. But as noted elsewhere, the lure of the 'white shirt' was never only enough for Wilson.

U/R site states that Tommy turned down a new offer.

Did Wilson receive an offer or indeed McMillen, maybe they had no other options?

I suspect Roger did, but not Neil. Cannot substantiate that though.

Agree with your suspicions..............just thought it strange that they didn't mention an offer of a contract to Roger.

Just noticed this... playing for the national 7s side disqualifies you from playing from any other country.

Did they not change the rules TOO that a couple of years ago.

Did he last play BEFORE that?

If so, is he still disqualified?

Does it really matter?

Is he a serious contender for an Irish shirt anyway?

Does anyone really care?

Is he Denis's long lost brother?

These questions and more, will be answered on the next episode of "Soap"

Even he is Irish qualified Eddie won't pick him so does it really matter, I think that bit is a total red herring.
