Magner league reply

Post by 28' »

Thank you for your note.

Our referees are appointed by the Unions and are assessed by each Union at every match.

The above is the reply I reveived fron the Magners League when I enquired about Referees and how they are assessed.
I have also enquired if they have a complaints proceedure.

Short answer  Did you expect any more because I would not have.

A bit shorter than I was expecting but at least it was something.
Also took them a couple of days for a one line answer.

Haha! You didn't think they would fall for that one?!
But you raise a good point the standard of refereeing is awful. I for one am now of the opinion that there is no need for neutral referees any more. Well, no need for Scottish referees to be more exact. Actually, what I mean is no need for the awful Changleng brothers. I would be happy for Welsh referees for our away games in Wales, I am sure Welsh supporters would be happy for the opposite i.e. Irish referees in Ireland. I mean is a referee from, say, Pontypool really going to be biased to the Ospreys for example?

The remaining Changalang brother isn't the worst. The Changalang brother who quit was the better of the two though.
