Slumdog Millionaire (£2.50 - cheap tuesday @ Oddessey)

Having never seen a Bollywood film and not being an addict of Who wants to be a millionaire
i wasnt sure what to expect. Got more violence than i was anticipating and it rattled along at a good
ole pace with a nice "dark" theme but enough sentimentality to keep wee Jane content. Dont think it wud
have me rushing to visit Mumbai/Bombay as a tourist but the place looks awesome and i suppose
it wasnt all fake buildings/slums. Shame about the happy ending.
And wee Jane even said she mite like 2 c it again - Colzo/ColinS, u still need a partner for next Tuesday??

Frost/Nixon

Went to see this last night. Great movie and I would recommend it to anyone. gets very tense towards the end, the performances by Michael Sheen and especially Frank Langella as Nixon are straight out of the top drawer. Movie moves along at a good pace and it really is a sparring match. I kinda felt sorry for Nixon though at the end so maybe more could have been made of the reasons why he ended up where he did and the whole watergate scandal. it was quickly breezed over in the first 10mins or so. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Not strictly a film but went to see Chronicles of Long Kesh in the Waterfront Studio tonight.
Absolutely immense - 10/10 for each characters performance, very funny, pretty accurate, and some excellent singing too!
100% recommend it!
Gets my seal of approval! ;)

DOn't believe the critics - this is a good movie! :)

Slumdog millionaire
awesome flick - thoroughly enjoyed every minute!!! a must see.
I work on the system, if the critics think it's great I don't go and if they think it's crap I think it's great
I got that one wrong, went to see it last night and Slumdog was fantastic. :thumleft:

Desperately want to get around to waching Valkyrie despite some of the poor reviews in papers. Particularly intrigued by Eddie Izzard making an appearance in it.. :)

Anybody seen it yet?

Not a new movie but watched Arlington Road this afternoon- enjoyed it but rather disturbed by lack of justice!

Went to see Slumdog millionaire at the weekend, well worth a couple of hours of your life.

On another note, i viewed it in the new Omniplex in Dundonald. Nice new cinema, and nice comfy seats. They are missing an ice cream stand though so you have to make do with cartons of Ben n Jerry's. They have a few rows of first class seats at the back which you can recline etc and have wee trays for your popcorn. Lucky for us it was de-registered and anybody cud sit there without having to shell out the extra £3.

Watched Mickey Rourke's The Wrestler last night before the superbowl with some mates, have to say they all seemed to enjoy it but I found the whole show a little on the slow side and couldnt really get into it at all!

Just leaving the house now to walk across the city in the bloody snow to watch a downloaded but yet perfect quality copy of "Hes Just Not That Into You" with the potential Mrs Logic, im not sure if it will even deserve a reviewing on this site tomorrow (if im lucky we wont see that much) but I just thought I would let you all know so if you fancy it you can share in my agony!
