well, even if the pitch is okay, visibility could be an issue! Get the orange balls out!
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

The silence on the UB website is deafening! This is a new low for them! Not a peep to inform us what is happening! Typical!

I assume the UR site is updated by office staff, who, given that there is no game at Ravenhill are probably not at work.

Or are at a Christmas do.

Or are in Brussels.

Not having a playable venue or a viable alternative available is contrary to the rules of the competition

lol, totally unplayable by the looks of it!!!

would stade forfeit the game if the pitch was okay but heavy snowfall prevented play. i.e. they have a pitch that's playable but nature makes the games impossible. Now that would be harsh!

Thought Ulster would have updated website as that can be done from anywhere, even Brussels.

That would then come under abandoned rules if it had started, the play the same weekend ruling must have been dropped by the look of things, wonder can Ulster refuse to wait around as they have to prepare for their next league match or does that throw the match back to Stade ? A lot of ERC fine print needs to be investigated.

Has the "game must be played on the weekend" rule actually been confirmed?

People have mentioned Viadana forfeiting a game a few seasons ago, but that situation was different as Viadana refused to travel to the alternate venue.

Please say that isn't true

Sky surely already have a camera crew in Brussels and it wouldn't be hard to fly T-bone out there to commentate if Morris was needed in Perp.

sky would probably be relying on french tv filming it, and so far there's no confirmation that french tv will show it - given that Perpigan v Turnips is already on France 2 or some such channel. so sadly it's not looking good.

I've come across a case in the 01/02 HEC when Newcastle couldn't play their home game against Leinster because of pitch conditions, the match was postponed twice and ended up being played in Leeds on the Tuesday evening.
