Keith Earls ruled out an replaced by Gavin Duffy.
Good chance for Trimble to stake a claim over these next few games then

Good job we aren't involved in the Churchill cup this year. Who's next? Cave and Whitten?

Sackey is apparently wearing 1 sock of each club as he's in between at the moment. Rush is just wearing Cardiff

Surprised by the Baa Baa's physicality in defence, some massive hits.

Re: Ireland vs Babas
Game being ruined by Poite le Twoite - Monsieur Francois Palmade he ain't - very poor first half.
No wonder POC is constantly in his face. Whoever thought he could do justice to a Babas game must be a tube! Has MR gone into ref appointments by any chance?
Somebody must have spoken to him at half time - 2nd half a little more continuity, he is still being a tube at the scrum but there is a little more flow. Allowing the Babas away with murder around ruck & maul. Ireland bring on some experience & just fail to come back to win.
John Muldoon MOM and well deserving - as someone hereabouts would say - we should sign him.

Before you insult somebody you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you insult them you'll be a mile away and have their shoes!

Muldoon played very well.
Of the Ulster lads, Henry and Trimble worked hard while Wallace made a difference when he came on. The ref ruined the game as has been stated but Ireland were poor in the first half and will need to up it big time when the experienced players come back in to face the AB's. As for the Baa Baa's getting away with muder at the breakdown, it was predominantly Quinlan.

we tried, he turned us down and our blazers slagged him for lacking ambition. I would like to thank John Muldoon for proving our blazers are twoites!backawaygoonahead wrote:- as someone hereabouts would say - we should sign him.
Re: Ireland vs Babas
Muldoon was the pick of the bunch - well deserving of MOTM
Trimby was excellent and will have helped his case hugely with that performance
Disappointingly I hardly noticed that Ed O'D was on the pitch
Cronin has quite an impressive turn of speed for a hooker
Duffy showed up well in the centre for a player who is usually a FB
Paddy showed his class at centre once he came on

I've been saying that for a year, but everyone on here seems to think he is some sort of superman.
Re: Ireland vs Babas
The ref was crap,he could'nt even get his instrutions right at the scrum,it just was'nt Quinlan at the breakdown there was a catalogue of infringements including high tackles, and offsides, but then again that is a good introduction to what the Irish team will receive down under.
From an Ulster perspective,Trimble was good,Tuohy suspect in the back row,Wallace brilliant when he came on,and Court should at least be wearing the no1 jersey ahead of Horan,Henry showed flashes of genius[still knocked back at times mind you] especially when linking up with Trimble for the try.

Seems Sexton got a twinge/injury during the warm-up - pulled from the bench and replaced by Tommy Bowe.
