I must say ... as a rather old and none the wiser decrepit poster from the old UR site, returning after being made redundant when the 5 families stopped supplying gin to the Adoo mansion, it is great to see that this beautiful old chestnut is still has more legs than a good Humph v Rog debate being reborn from the ashes like a rather moth eaten phoenix in the slurry stream of time.

One hopes that Ruan, with a little time on his hands hasn't thought "I know what I'll do I'll read the URFC site and get a good handle on the locals and their merry little ways."

If the fit controller reads this franchise bit it might give him ideas of making more cash, I can see it now a batch of Ulster teams popping upall over the world like McDonalds and KFC, drive through a town one week and nothing then next week a new stadium built in kit form and a batch of 1F's getting unpacked ready for action

Just the thought of an Ikea flat pack Joeli Veitayaki has me reaching for my credit card.

To keep Meteor happy and so it would be an all inclusive Ulster franchise though squads of 27 would have to be supplied with 3 players from each county with a minimum of 2 from each county in matchday teams and the remaining members on a strict rotation so no county over the course of the year was discriminated against.

What about people coming from the SH with provincial grandmothers - do they automatically adopt the family county or would they be assigned to a county by the UR franchise?

& has his "kicking boots" with him according to todays Indo. A taste of things
to come I hope. We've survived (just) in the three games so far but need more
than 66% to be able to kill games off earlier and allow my poor bloody heart to
find a slower, natural rhythm on game nights.

Sorry to bring the name up again....."Meteor".
Let it be known that he speaks not for any commited UR fans who make the regular
trip up to Ravers. There are real supporters from the far reaches of Cavan,
Monaghan and Donegal who do not make "regular" trips to games.......we make every
game, endure the high mileage to the game and the high (or low) of the long haul home.
We do so because of our love of the game of rugby and UR is our team. Commitment
to a team in any sport comes from the heart, not the head, of which some among us
need examined reading their unfounded and certainly lacking in real facts....rant.
A trip from Dublin to Belfast - @ 2hrs car or train. By the time we got back to Pirrie
to pick up the motor after the late kick off Friday last and landed in our far corner
of Ulster the clock was showing 12:45. Made this trip four times this year already
(preseason).
Meteor....from the head or the heart? Make a little effort to get here more often
and then those of us who really care may listen a little more. But don't dare
speak for or sully the name of committed & real UR fans from Cavan, Monaghan
or Donegal.

Top post MAC :salut: Your dedication should be an example to the Meteorite but I somehow doubt it. :red:
