I maybe wrong here but I think Radio Ulster via Sky Digital is FM (N. Ireland vs Italy commentary) and not MW (ulster vs Aironi).

In previous seasons, Radio Ulster had commentary for ML games on MW but the link for web commentary usually didn't appear on the BBC website until just before kick-off.

The link was on the BBC Sport section of the website. If you went to the BBC Radio Ulster website, you got FM with Hugo Duncan or a similar abomination.

The live match tracker on the ERC website has a link to Radio Ulster but it remains to be seen if that will work or not...

There can be no similar abomination to Hugo Duncan.

That does'nt mean that there will be any coverage of the Ulster game, newsline on friday did'nt even mention the game, although they had a preview of the NI game and the Commonwealth games [ who has actually been watching that],there has been no highlights of the Ulster game on any of the channels, very poor promotion, unless Ulster Rugby think that by hiding the game and having no exposure will somehow promote the rugby playing public to come out in droves,or is our brand of rugby so special that no one outside of the ground should ever get a chance to see Ulster actually play, or maybe it is because Gusher has put a clause in his contract that only he can comment on the telly when Ulster play.

I have sent an e-mail to BBC NI re this matter and I will let you know what there response is,I would appreciate if anyone knew who else I could contact with their contact details,so I could persue the matter further,if you have a contact e-mail/address within Ulster rugby I would also appreciate this as well,or maybe you could contact them.

BBC will have to buy the footage from Sky/ERC and from memory from last year it was a seriously daft price for a few seconds crap photography.
Think BBC are doing alright with the coverage of Magners league as I never expected them to show all the matches.

Aye but what about BBC coverage on the friday re the sports that night, quite a bit re,NI v Italy and nothing re Ulster v Aironi, the football game was on sky,so if the BBC can preview one game on sky they should be able to preview both sports or is there a BBC bias, will be keeping my eye on monday to see if there are any sporting events reviewed, and what coverage they will get on newsline as I am unable to access UTV,

That aside why is'nt SKY even showing highlights of the game.

Although good to see IH try again. Although I'm sure NOC would've shown the same initiative :stir: :duck:
