So...latest position from Bath appears to be this:-

With the inclement weather there are numerous enquiries about tomorrow's game and the likelihood of it going ahead.8Share
We remain reasonably confident that it will take place and have taken suitable protective precautions with the pitch but the travel from Belfast for the opposition, the travel to and from Bath, in and around the Rec and on the stands may still offer some challenges! We have been in constant touch with the ERC representatives for our game and the following scenarios are possible if we don't manage to play on time on Saturday.

Under ERC rulings one of the following would happen and we are in touch so we can make any decision as early as possible and let everyone know as soon as we do.

1. If Ulster make it to Bath but late, the game will be played at some stage over the weekend as soon as practically possible;
2. If Ulster make it and the pitch is playable but there are serious concerns over crowd safety, the game should be played behind closed doors;
3. If Ulster make it but our pitch is not playable then we would move to an alternative venue for Sunday (this is likely to be Llanelli).

Currently the situation is that Ulster's flight has been delayed but they have a priority slot and a charter aircraft so if the airport re-opens they will be one of the first away. They are also looking at the option of travelling to Dublin and flying from there.
We will update you as often as we realistically can but I hope this information is useful, despite not being definitive, but as you can imagine, there are some things beyond our control at the moment

Will look forward to the eventual outcome. Hopefully will be able to make it by train to Bath.

EasyJet website:

The Metrological Office have predicted that Bristol Airport will have snow fall of 5-10cm between 00:00 and 06:00 tomorrow morning. We will continue to review the situation at the airport and strongly advise that all passengers flying from Bristol over the weekend check the status of their flight using our flight checker service before travelling to the airport.

While the circumstances are outside of the airline’s control, we apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to reassure passengers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption

Ardglass was to be on the 09:55 Easyjet to Bristol.

That flight has recently been reported as cancelled unfortunately.

Game on!18 December 2010, 11:19 am

Today's Heineken Cup match against Ulster Rugby will go ahead as planned.

Thanks to some tireless work by volunteers to help clearing the snow around the Rec, today's game will go ahead as planned.
Gates will open at 12.00 noon, with kick-off at 1.30pm.

We cannot stress enough that extreme care must be taken to in approaching the Rec, as whilst every possibly measure has been made to ensure it is safe, there are still slippery areas.

We would just like to say thank you again to all those who have helped us to clear the pitch to ensure today's game can go ahead.
