Top 4 Predictions

Post by againstthehead »

Sad I know, but here goes.

Munster: currently sitting top of the pile on 54 points:
Leinster 47 pts
Scarlets 46
Cardiff 45
Oespreys 44
Ulster 43

Predicted fixtures
MUNSTER
aironi away - 4
dragons home - 5
cardiff away - 1
leinster home - 4
scarlets away - 4
ospreys away - 1
connacht home - 4
total 77 POINTS

LEINSTER
scarlets home 4
dragons away 4
munster away 1
ulster home - 5
aironi away 5
gladgow home 5
TOTAL = 71

SCARLETS
leinster away 0
treviso home - 5
ulster away- 1
munster home - 1
glasgow away - 4
cardiff home - 4
TOTAL = 61

CARDIFF
embra away 1
munster home - 4
ospreys away - 0
connacht away - 4
treviso home - 5
scarlets away - 0
TOTAL - 59

OSPREYS
connacht home 4
glasgow home - 5
cardiff home - 4
dragons away - 4
munster home - 4
aironi away - 5
TOTAL 70

ULSTERRRRRR
- aironi home 5
- dragons home - 4
- glasgow away - 1
- scarlets home - 4
- leinster away - 0
- connacht home - 4
- dragons away - 1
TOTAL 62

Final top 6
Munster - 77
Leinster 71
Ospreys 70
Ulster 62
Scarlets 61
Cardiff 59

And to be honest, I'm being fairly harsh on Ulster - predicting defeats away in dragons and glasgee and only a BP V aironi. With a bit of luck we could hit 66-69 points.

You coukld also be considered optimistic in predicting losing bonuses in Glasgow and Dragons - we are not well know for our ability to collect bonus points when we lose.

Like to think we can take both Glasgow and Dragons away :D :red:

I would hope so too rooster. I'm just suggesting thst if we lose either of those we'll not automatically be in losing bonus territory.

neither of those sides will have anything to play for. A losing BP is realistic but obvisouly not a given, considering our away form...

I am puzzled.

We have gained more match points away than any other team AND have a greater match points difference when away than any other team.

Thanks for saving me having to try and work that out cables :salut: thought we had a better away record than most sides at present.

aye, but we rarely look convincing away... connacht, scarlets, bath, aironi (league) - just about sneaked those. The likes of Leinster and Munster can dominate weaker sides away from home. We kinda hang in there and sneak a win. Great to win away but we're still no world beaters lol

those home matches are all definite 5 pt possibilities, and 2 of the 3 away games are definite away win possibilities - if we get anything from the Leinster match it'll be a bonus (probably literally, a losing one :) ) that said that match is the week after the HEC QF so you never know, they may want to give a load of frontline players a breather..

Now, now DL don't be getting ahead of yourself. Must say, Luke Marshall and Nevin Spence really tore into the Blues tonight, those 2 players are the sort of people that you can win things with!!!

Ulster have got a few of blonde haired player nowadays and everyone of them had craicing games. Didn't realise Henry was that fast, nor did I realise Wannenburg had as good a feet when he went for a jinking run in the 2nd half.

I'll take a 1 point win away any day, damned sight better than a 1 point loss.

The loss of the try bonus point, of which we were robbed in Treviso by Blind Luigi the fingerless Braille TMO, might just cost us a place in the top 4.

Gusher spent the entire match calling Spence Marshall and vice versa :)

Peroxide all round for the rest of the season? :D

BTW, I've heard of Spence and Marshall (both of them) but who is this person Vice Versa of whom you speak, and did they respond when Gusher called them?
