Re: Top 4 Predictions
It is very noticeable that the appearance of Cheerleaders has had a very positive impact on our position in the Magners League table.

Re: Top 4 Predictions
Discussing performance over 80 minutes is indeed very much a concept as gooner says, but I'd go even further, and say that no team ever dominates ALL aspects of a game.
When I describe an 80 minute performance, I don't mean that we are going to DOMINATE for 80 mins - of course no side will ever do that. However, what I mean it that your side plays with intensity. Intensity, can be attack but also in defence. It's about carrying the ball hard, breaking the gainline and delivering quick accurate ball. It's about contesting at the breakdown, getting your rush defence right and making the big hits. For example, I would say that Ireland played with intensity for the majority of the game V england and that ulster had it at home to cardiff. Too often we almost appear lethargic with little go forward.
In fairness, the 80 mins is going a bit too far but you know what I mean. Performance wise, we're a long way off the pace.

Perfect result from Swansea 21-21 , not such good news from Limerick 9-20 at half time.

A big half from your beloved Munster required now, Gonad!backawaygoonahead wrote:Perfect result from Swansea 21-21 , not such good news from Limerick 9-20 at half time.
EDIT 40 minutes later: and a big half we're getting from the men in red.
Will it be enough?

Gonad - I'm quite sure people have been hung for less than that - by the plumsCap'n Grumpy wrote:Munster
Did you really doubt my boys or Munster's answer to Ruan ? You've got to love ROG, nudges an easier one wide but knowing its death or glory - "Who ya gonna call ?" Well actually you could call ROG, Ruan or Humph - same result.

Re: Top 4 Predictions
Munster were just AWSOME for the 2nd 40 mins. So much power and pace. Blew Leinster off the park. And ROG at the end - cracking kick.
Now updated predictions:
Munster: currently sitting top of the pile on 71 points:
Ulster 59
Oespreys 57
Leinster 56 pts
Cardiff 52
Scarlets 51
Predicted fixtures
MUNSTER
scarlets away - 4
ospreys away - 1
connacht home - 4
total 80 POINTS
LEINSTER
ulster home - 5
aironi away 5
gladgow home 5
TOTAL = 71
SCARLETS
munster home - 1
glasgow away - 4
cardiff home - 4
TOTAL = 60
CARDIFF
connacht away - 4
dragons away 4
treviso home - 5
scarlets away - 1
TOTAL - 66
OSPREYS
dragons away - 4
munster home - 4
aironi away - 5
TOTAL 70
ULSTERRRRRR
- leinster away - 0
- connacht home - 4
- dragons away - 1
TOTAL 64
Final top 6
Munster - 80
Leinster 71
Ospreys 70
Cardiff 66
Ulster 64
Scarlets 60
Those could be a crucial 2 points for cardiff today. All their remaining games are very winnable - including an away date at Llanelli which I have optimistically predicted a defeat...
With regards our last 3 games:
Leinster: a lot depends on the HC. If we lose to Northampton then we'll send a full team down to a weakened leinster side and we may just sneak something. If we win next weekend then we'll rest key players.
Connacht: potential BP at home but connacht will be up for a battle.
Dragons: certainly winnable and in all likelyhood it will probably come down to the final weekend.

If its do or die to win away to the dragons, surely even the bookies would fancy us?

Re: Top 4 Predictions
u might be right but a touch of 'realism' does no harm. After the weekend, it's very easy to assume that qualification is in the bag. Evem if we beat the dragons and connacht, Cardif can still realistically win all those remaining games and pip us. A lot of hard work still required but destiny is largely in our own hands.backawaygoonahead wrote:Against: away an boil yer heed brother, you are a pessimistic boyo, sharpen up. On a positive note... it's brilliant to have so many massive games at the business end of the season. All too often, our season has been over in March and attendances plummet.

I really don't think Leinster will get 5 points against us

A pretty good chance that all 4 Irish provinces will finish ahead of the two Scottish sides.
