Re: Hotels in Leicester
You cannot go to Leicester without drinking in the Salmon - absolutely Classic.
Also saw someone mention the Old Horse - also very good and a pleasant stroll across Vicky Park before the match.
Someone on the link mentioned the Cradock - use to be good but a bit out of the way.
After leaving the Old Horse you could take a 200 yard detour into the Swan if you are getting thirsty.
Alternatively a plentiful crawl from the Bus station through town to the ground is avaialble !

'Fraid I can't help you, me dear. I live 10 miles north of Derby, i.e. it's an 80 mile round trip for me to get to Welford Road.Wee Woman wrote:Can you recommend anywhere for a bit of craic BeeJay?

Unless it's the one at Manchester airport. We stayed there a couple of years ago as we had a stupid o'clock flight out in the morning. I think every shell suit from Lancashire was in the restaurant. Also, the TV in our room went on the blink and, when we reported it, we were told it would take 48 hours for it to be looked at.Surrey Red Hand wrote:You can never go wrong with a Hilton .. always pretty decent

It always pays to shop around YMYoungMan wrote:Weewoman can hubby not dig deeper and splash some of that cash from his deep pockets
What we saved on booking the flights early we spent on a better hotel this time so I'm sure we're going to look sweet rolling round that place in our Ulster shirts
Are you and your good lady heading over yourselves?

Looking at Premier Inn or IBIS which done us well in Northampton but it would be good to get some local advice. Cheers.

If you're flying into East Mids and looking for transport into Leicester, it might be worth your while having at the 'useful video' as mentioned in the second paragraph on this site.
