Re: Worth winning
Hi Guys and Gals (and Brianc)
Some of you may recall that last season i sold raffle tickets to win an Ulster shirt signed by jack Kyle - proceeds going to The Northern Ireland Leukaemia Research Fund.
Yep, you guessed it, I'm doing it again, but this time the prize is a framed dinner menu from the Ulster Rugby Awards Dinner at the end of last season ....... but not just any menu ....... This one has been autographed by Jack Kyle, Mike Gibson and David Humphreys (the so-called "Three Tenners" of Ulster rugby). Add to that, that this was the dinner at which Mike Gibson was inducted into the IRB Hall of Fame, and possibly, just possibly you may think that this too is a prize worth winning, but even if you don't, by buying tickets you will be helping a very worthwhile cause.
Pictures of the prize below - one of these showing it being held by David Humph when he (and iHumph) visited Queen's University Cancer research centre a while ago to launch the raffle and see for themselves some of the research going on in Belfast. (pictured with Ken Mills, Professor of Experimental Haematology at QUB)
If you would like to buy tickets, please come and see me near the URSC information point before the Connacht match on Saturday or the Clermont match next week. Alternatively, telephone the NILRF office on 028 9097 2928.
Thanks in advance for your support, and thanks to UAFC Admin for allowing me to advertise this worthwhile cause on the MB.
NB - This is NOT a URSC ballot and should NOT be confused with the "Big Ballot" supporting the URSC Jack Kyle Ulster Academy Bursary. (As if anyone would)

Re: Worth winning
And for the 2nd time in just over a year - the draw has been made.
Many many thanks to all who supported this worthwhile cause, and special thanks and congratulations to the well known message-boarder who won the prize, and got his lovely kids (they take after their mother) to collect the prize to preserve his anonininininimity.
Cheers chaps and chapesses

Thanks, but not really deserved - anyway, well done to another - and for those interested, the info is already in the public domainLastKnightoftheproms wrote:Och you've lost me now. If you meant that the Aironi match was the next thing worth winning goes without saying but it was the who's the well known boarder thing.
Anyway. Well done Grumps.
