BBC Radio Ulster Radio Phone In?

Post by UlsterUlster »

Hi all,

I overheard a great idea on the Prom last week - why don't BBC Radio Ulster do a phone in after the game, even on MW? They have the pundits there anyway at the ground, there's thousands of people at the ground who get into cars and want to talk rugby, there's thousands of people at home watching it who might enjoy a bit of craic and a phone in.

Any one any contacts in BBC to suggest such things?

You could Tweet Winker Watson
“That made me feel very special and underlined to me that Ulster is more than a team, it is a community and a rugby family"

I've left my suggestion for the BBC - maybe everyone else should leave some feedback as well. Weight of numbers, we pay them, and all that.

Regards that Tweeter thing, not for me. I'll let someone else tweet him.

You should hope on the Twitter boat.

It's fantastic.
Why, just yesterday Gary Glitter signed up. Set up for lots of jip about being touched and being in his gang, etc etc.
And then, Joey Barton decides to give him abuse. Stonking banter!

There's also some muppet on there as Sparky. Bit of a donkey IMO - there's a bear that should not be fed. Comes out with all sorts of crap - most likely he's from the FRU

There's also a parody Declan Kidney account - made a comment about getting paddy wallace 'trending' (put this will probably be lost on one so stuck in his ways, unwilling to embrace the digital age)

That and lots of Ulster Rugby proper stuff - lot of the players, an official account, etc.
It really is the place to find out stuff in a jiffy!

Did you know that Tebow is the term that has been tweeted most per second (sports category). Perhaps 'humph' will overtake him this weekend?

You can text, tweet, email or bakebook them.

I reckon that's as good as it's getting.

Well, what's the harm in asking? Especially if a lot of people ask.

Thanks white knight. Sounds like you might run the fake sparky account tho.

Remarkable powers of recall there, old timer. Quite remarkable.
That was posted quite a while ago. The number quoted has substantially shrunk now; business has grown, more high-profile accounts are now being managed by me and the bottom-feeders are passed on to those who don't have an office.

Tell me, should I be worried about how 'aware' of me that you seem to be?

There's business and there's banter. There's using Twitter for personal use to essentially act in a voyeuristic capacity on celebs and sporting news, and then there's actively participating on it (only for clients). Using it to waste time parodying a fat lad who failed selection for the Rockettes is, quite frankly, a demand too much on my time.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Cabbies pick up and mentally store a lot of information for use at an appropriate time.

That will be £12.50.
