156/3 Tackles made/missed

Superb by the Westies

And if, when all a vigil keep,
The West's asleep! the West's asleep!
Alas! and well may Erin beagle
That Connacht lies in slumber deep.
But, hark! a voice like thunder spake,
The West's awake! the West's awake!
Sing, Oh! hurrah! let England quake,
We'll watch till death for Erin's sake

2 teams with everything to play for and 2 teams with realistically nothing to play for but pride and look who won. Fair play to both Connacht and Glaws for their efforts tonight :salut: Saw a lot of people on here last week moaning about tame surrenders by certain teams but tonight both these teams showed the professionalism and hunger required.

When Connacht got into the Heiny I always felt they would take a scalp at the Sportsground. I'm just delighted it was tonight. A good night for Connacht, Ulster and Irish rugby and also great to hear John Muldoon saying he was happy to give us the tip into the QF's :salut:

John Muldoon said he was happy to get Ulster into the QFs in his post match interview. Just got yourself a couple of fans from Ulster big guy!

Best way to repay Connacht for the MASSIVE effort they put in tonight over 80+ minutes??

Win the Heiny and get them back in it for next year!!!

Quality, I knew their defence had been awesome but that is a quite remarkable stat.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Don't suppose anybody had the double?

Wouldn't surprise me now if Racing and Irish complete the quad.

TBH, I thought 3 had a chance, 2 of which were tonight. The only one I gave no chance to was Racing. No way can I see them winning in Cardiff. LI on the other hand....

The pitch invasion after the Connacht win. Will we do one the next home match?

Was some chat on the Rugby Club after Sale lost to Brive on Thurs night about how the AP was perhaps not that strong and that england could be in for a tough time.

Wonder what they think now after high flying Quins were slain by one of the Rabo's lesser lights

Unless you want to be arrested, then no. Apparently it is now a 'criminal offence' to run onto the pitch at the end of an Ulster match

As for the AP is now the worst league in Europe, that's a load of rubbish. They may not be doing so well in Europe due to injuries (Leicester last week, although yes we would've hammered then anyway), or problems within the club (Selorn Kuadey had just died for Sale). But, there is a flipside as there's the fact that most were in difficult pools, meaning that when the going gets tough, they struggle. Leicester I tipped to qualify top from our pool, but look now; Quins had Toulouse, the most successful team in HCup history, yet they blew it against the other teams; London Irish should've been pushing for Amlin at least, but they lost all their home games which is a complete sin in Europe; Bath we didn't expect much from; fair play to Sarries, they managed to navigate their way through a tough pool and can hold their heads high. So while it wasn't a successful campaign, it certainly doesn't spell doom and gloom for the AP.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

A few Ullster players were twittering Mudoon last week askin for a favour - looks as though they're pretty good mates.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'
