Where will Sarries play is a good start perhaps, Wembly , Twickers, the bus shelter in Trafalgar Square ? and are there anyother events on, remember that is how it was simple to work out that Ulster were playing on Sunday last year as stadium was empty that day.

Surely that can't be correct?
Could be if everyone starts silly buggers thinking because of Easter weekend, then Limerick Council have to get permission to open bars if Good Friday and so it goes on...................................

Snipe you are forgetting the pubs won a court ruling against the local organised mentalists in 2010 when there was a Good Friday Munster v Leinster game in TP.

Don't know much about these things but don't think they close on Easter Sunday so maybe Munster, if they have the remotest say which I doubt might welcome a Saturday night drinking crowd arriving for a Sunday match.

Guessing again.

Hi Damian. Limerick is the greatest place in the world.

Seriously though it's always a good place on a big rugby weekend. Assuming Munster will get what they want which is a 5 o'clock or so kick off on Saturday it should be brilliant. There's nothing like the day of a big match with all the travelling supporters mingling with the natives before the mass exodus out to Thomond Park.

If we get lucky and it is on the Saturday(better not be the Friday or we may not get away with another relaxing of the licensing laws) you should check out some of the small city centre pubs early in the day. The likes of Myles Breens in Shannon Street are old rugby pubs. Tis a feking gas ould spot this. There's a group of old boys who sit along the side near the door who think they secretly control everything. They remind me a bit of Remo Gaggi(Casino) and his crew who secretly controlled Vegas. These gas old feckers will moan like crazy if anybody has the audacity to come in off the street and ask for that "namby pamby" soccer to be turned on the television.

One of the good things about Limerick is that it is so feckin small. No matter where you are in the city you are never more than 20 or at most 30 minutes from the city centre.

I'm pretty sure the Best Western is the old Glentworth Hotel. A right handy spot pretty much just off the main street, O'Connell Street.

For anybody who has been to Limerick before and spent a bit of time there you'll be glad to hear we gave a nice facelift to William Street. Badly needed it was too. Think this was the first time in about 30 years the fecking place got anything done to it.

The drive is a long one alright Damian but not as bad now as it was years ago with all the new motorway and bypassing of a lot of wee shíteholes. I never drove but have got the bus from Limerick to Belfast a few times in the past which was a fecking ordeal. I haven't been for quite a while though but I know it is a much easier journey nowadays.

What do you think the chances are of some buses being put on to take supporters down to the game, a la Leinster at Christmas every couple of years?

Would have thought there would be the demand, given the length of drive and that one or 2 of the good folk of Ulster are allegedly interested in partaking in a drink or 2 during their visits to away games... :D

Make sure you book one with the free cancellation obviously.

I would have thought it is very possible, I was kidnapped a few years ago and taken from a carpark in Newry down to a Munster match by some strange men with beards and banners  :red:
