Head certainly looked the business when I saw him off the pitch - scared the hell out of me - can't say I saw enough to make a positive decision yet, but certainly didn't see him do anything wrong.

I have a feeling that this SH back-row is a bit of a red herring CT - all smoke and mirrors but no sign on a contract, not even any definite rumours about who it might be.

If you read this, it might explain the rumoured signing - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/4165668.stm - the man himself says Ulster were looking at him, could explain the uncertainty in the original rumour?? i.e. Saints will probably seem a more attractive option??

I thought that rumours of Browne surfaced and disappeared months ago when he agreed to go to Northampton. I assumed that the ongoing rumour involved someone else.....

If we are to get anywhere near the top 3 or 4 we would need to show a helluva bit more than we did on Friday night. Even allowing for early season rustiness we looked lethargic in attack and missed to many tackles in the second half.

"But the English Premiership is one of the toughest competitions in the world and after playing in France, I wanted to test myself against some of the best players in the world.

Daniel Brown
Well I suppose you cannot blame him. Much as we would like to think it we are still not in the same standard as the Premiership. But the attitude of the various home nations managements in various selfish guises are very much key factors in this.
