Who was your Man of the Match?
Although Pienaar got MOTM, did he deserve it? I thought that the majority of players were in with a shout of getting it and for me Wannenburg should have got it, yet another class performance and we really take his performances for granted IMO, we will really miss his performances and, no matter what anyone says Wilson is not a 'like for like' replacement. He is quite simply going to be very very hard to replace.
Chris Henry is superhuman... I think he's half cyborg

St Ruan was the outstanding player on the pitch. Laidlaw and Darren Cave were next best. P3 and 1F had only two good legs between them.........
Re: Who was your Man of the Match?
For me the 3 stars were RP, Cave and Rory, in that order.
Honorable mentions for the 2 Paddys (were there only 2!), Pedrie, Johann and DeccieFitz.

Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.

Couldn't believe that 1F reappeared after the way he hobbled off at half-time.Snipe Watson wrote:St Ruan was the outstanding player on the pitch. Laidlaw and Darren Cave were next best. P3 and 1F had only two good legs between them.........

Re: Who was your Man of the Match?
Darren Cave was IMMENSE!
Some people are talking about "THAT" tackle, but to be honest, THAT tackle was only one of a number of fine tackles.

Darren's defence is always first class. Like the rest of his game...........Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Darren Cave was IMMENSE!

Piennar had all the pressure to make the kicks and didn't let us down. Next best I would say Wallace closely followed by Cave and Fitzpatrick. I hope come final time we are able to praise Wallace and Cave for more than their defensive work.
One does not simply walk into Ulster
Re: Who was your Man of the Match?
Comfortably, for me, Piennar was my MOM.
He was the "Paddy Mayne" on the pitch if you will.
He was the man in charge, orchestrating everything, leading the way on the pitch, and not frightened of getting stuck in and getting his hands dirty.
A pleasure to watch.

Pienaar. The goal kicking alone could've done it but his control and box kicking were majestic.
Mentions to Cave, Wannenburg and DeccyFitz, all of who played very well too.

You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.
Re: Who was your Man of the Match?
The only downside to Ruans performance would be that a couple of times he could have spread the ball and Ulster where in.
Other than that he was majestic. Really bust a gut out there. Inspirational.
