Please god no
This doesn't seem as funny as it did at the time.
Not laughing now either!
Tip of the hat to Dr Dave, prepared to take the tough decisions even where family is concerned.
Like it was said somewhere else, I don't think this decision would have been made had there not been another pot bubbling away in the background.

Quite possible Rooster. The lad is 30, this way he's on a 2-3 year dealRooster wrote: Unless it was ihumph who decided to move on ?
with possibly a year extension. He may have seen the writing on the
wall if here were to stay here. At the max he would probably be seen
12-18 months, or less, in the front line here. Two years down the line
and he's not the first choice 10 anymore.......and a lot less marketable.
Players have to make the most of their short time at the top and he
cannot be blamed for looking after No1.......if that is the case.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
We all know that Dr H is a master salesman - if he felt that Ian was part of the big picture going forward he would have talked him into staying and given him a contract to match that. I reckon he has been told that he is not part of Plan A and as a result has taken the decision to go & been released from his contractMac wrote:Quite possible Rooster. Of the other 50%, are they a back rower? If so worse or better than McComish?LastKnightoftheproms wrote:I can confirm that 50% of what King of the Hill knew has now come to pass.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Now that we know that 50 percent of what King of the Hill has saidhas come to pass, when will Ulster confirm the replacement. My money is on Gareth Anscombe. If it is Anscombe, this leaves us with 2 inexperienced fly-halves. Anscombe has been in and out of a struggling Blues side in the Super XV this year. While showing flashes of brilliance, he has been inconsistent at times.
Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Can he play back-row?
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

Setanta ' Can he play back-row'
Don't think so!! Though, part of King of the Hill's rumour, was that it wasn't to do with the NIQ. So, if Anscombe is IHUMPH,s replacement he must be coming as a project player. That would still allow the back-row to be an NIQ. That said, the outhalf could be Irish. Who Knows???

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
may i suggest Miah Nikora as a signing, hes now IQd and out of contract @ the westies i believe. a cracking wee player
Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Anscombe would be an addition but I still see back-row as our most desparate need. (although possibly because I'm still sorely narked at us having to let 3N go!!)

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
In light of the recent announcement of Ian Humphreys going to london london irish, are those sources who said McKinney is off to Rotherham still confident its a done deal?

That's a typo, NOT a spelling mistake!!

One does not simply walk into Ulster
Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Theres a bit of chat about it being Madigan, this has to be unlikely as PJ and himself are the 2 realistic prospects vying to get the 10 shirt off Sexton in the near future, would the IRFU or indeed would they themselves want to be playing at the same club?Craigers wrote:That said, the outhalf could be Irish.
