TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Anscombe is a very good young player but he's in the same position as Paddy Jackson as in only had a couple of 1st class starts.
I'd much rather find a solid IQ 10 to cover Jackson and let him develop next season.
Although if we did sign Anscombe junior, we would have to really look at playing both Jackson & Anscombe regularly using all the squad to build two very solid 15's.
You could have two back lines that could keep us winning in the rabo while developing talent & preparing for HC games like:
Pienaar, Jackson, Gaston, Wallace, Spence, Trimble, D'Arcy
Marshall, Anscombe, Gilroy, Marshall, Cave, Bowe, Payne
That would be great to be honest with youngster scattered amongst internationals learning their trade although this would leave us really lightweight in the back row next season out our starting trio of Ferris, Henry, Wilson.
Also to add if Anscombe could sign as a project player I'd be far happier but if he is NIQ through playing under 20's for New Zealand then I wouldn't want to sign him.

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS!!
Did someone not point out that Anscombe is already pledged to NZ as he played u21 and that is there official 2nd team? Or did I imagine that? If so he would be a NIQ but not likely to get work permit with no caps??
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

How can you smile?
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

Swapping a turnstyle for a blancmange isn't a great defensive move ...
