Indeed Norm, that's getting another airing, semi final lucky stout stains intact. I shall be disembarking Hammersmith and skulling upstream towards twickers. I shall continue skulling 'til I can skull no more or herself gives me the "That's your last pint" look. The retaliatory "I'll move on to the bombay saphire" look has yet to work.namron wrote:What about the stripey boaty gear Cascade? Thanks to the trumpeter in the Aviva & far too late for Twickenham, we have shuffled together this little ditty, learn it and join in if you can/care to:
To the tune of Belle of Belfast City:
They'll tell their Ma when they go home
Wannenberg wouldn't leave their ball alone
They pulled our hair they stole our comb
But that's alright when we get home
Ruan's handsome, Cave is pretty,
We are the Boys of Belfast City,
We have Court in 1, 2, 3,
Please won't you tell me who have ye?

Any idea what shirt the team will be wearing? Personally they should go for the red number!

Wife bought me original plain white shirt twenty years ago. No manufacturers logo. No advertising. Just red hand. It hasn"t seen the light of day since a match in llanelli a few years ago. Slightly snugger fit now. I assume its shrunk.

Cascade, if you want to get to Twickers in style - go by boat. You can either go downstream and get it at Westminster or upstream and get it at Kew, then get off at Richmond or Hampton Court.Cascade wrote:Indeed Norm, that's getting another airing, semi final lucky stout stains intact. After much debate I'm in last years Kukri Home shirt, the wife in 4yr Old Home Cantenbury and the two boys are going for a mix of 1 Red & 1 Black Kukri, that's the match.
Travel is a mix of supporters polo, URPolo, fleece hoodies and my new Red 2012 HEC Final shirt.
Let's not go down the pyjamas route as I'm embarrassed enough!
Bags packed with 4 flegs stuffed into the case, 4 jester hats and face paint at the ready!

an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport,
I'm Not an expert, not always right, I'm just enthusiastic....well most of the time!

Re: What shirt are you wearing for the final??
White one from last season, shame it's a bit of a tight fit these days :/
Re: What shirt are you wearing for the final??
I think I have heard the standard white and red, doesn't clash with anything & we are the home team so I believe we get the choice!Jackie Brown wrote:Any idea what shirt the team will be wearing? Personally they should go for the red number!
As for personal choice, I am between our Red warm up from this season, the stripe kit or a selection of last season.. almost as tough a decision as where to predrink!
What shirt are you wearing for the final??
I'll be wearing....
I have the white home jersey & dark away but they are massive on me so have to go for the vintage since I lost a bit of weight.
Out of interest does anyone know where I could buy an ulster top in London tomorrow before heading to the fans park??

Not likely... Kukri don't seem to focus on getting their stuff into retail.Windeos wrote:

You could try calling these places:
Soccer Scene (they also sell rugby stuff) - they have shops on Oxford St and Carnaby St (http://www.soccerscene.co.uk/Storelocator.aspx)
The Rugby Store at Twickenham http://www.rfu.com/FanZone/GiftCards/WhereToShop

For tonight's travel and drinking - retro 70's shirt with a big 70's style Hand
For tomorrow bespoke personalised polo shirts supplied by Provan Sports of Glasgow - white with red hand on right sleeve and gold harp on left
For Sunday - black training jersey from three seasons ago.
Back ups include FRU tee shirts and Canterbury rain jacket.
Other accessories include Club Ulster Scarf from when that organisation was launched years ago.
My inflatable red hand burst last night when I was checking if it still blew up and I can't find my cross of St Patrick. Another hunt before leaving for Glasgow airport.
