AIL Club signings for 2012/13 season

Post by Neilo »

Anyone know who's signed for who and who's lost a load? Rainey have recruited well with Tim Barker signing and ex Ulster Academy centre Jonny Shiels now signed amongst a few others like Niall O'Connor's wee bro who is a great place kicker. Couple from Ballymena I think too I think.

I actually heard there has been lots of movement out of Ballymena. McBurney, Pritchard, Carey and McIlroy all to Hinch. Shawe and Carson to Ballymoney, Hackney and O'Hara to CI. Heard they had signed a few good players though from junior clubs like Clotworthy from Ballyclare and Dickey from Coleraine. Heard talk of a scrum half from Ulster's Academy but McIlroys gone to Hinch.

Heard Malone have strengthened well too but didn't hear any names. Anyone heard anything?

Had a look on the IRFU website but couldn't see any list. It would be interesting if Ulster Branch or someone published a list of moving players. Each club is very secretative about their signings.

There appears to be a lot of new signings across a number of clubs. It should leave an interesting season ahead.

Isn't Jablanski very highly rated in the academy or am I completely off?

Queens could struggle this year after being so close to promotion last year, they have lost alot of players.

I think we'll go ok, whilst some of the players leaving where key players, many of them only made limited appearances throughout the season, plus we look to be getting a good crop of school leavers this year, as well as one or two signings from further afield.

Ballymena and hinch tend to hoover up the wallace and ballymena guys with their contacts coaching in those schools. Rainey and Hinch seemed to have added a lot of players to their squad, will be stronger, but could be tough keeping everyone happy.
