Just spotted the above article on Planet Rugby. Looks like we'll be losing him at the end of next season.

I've just swallowed a whole bag of scrabble squares. My next visit to the toilet could spell trouble.

great for john afoa but "The prop's wife is expecting the couple's third child in 10 weeks and he is currently on a break home" wouldn't that be start of heinekn cup again sadly?

How quick could Ronnie Flanagan's driver get to Aukland?launish116 wrote:great for john afoa but "The prop's wife is expecting the couple's third child in 10 weeks and he is currently on a break home" wouldn't that be start of heinekn cup again sadly?

Think even he would need to borrow the Star Trek transporter for that tripBR wrote:How quick could Ronnie Flanagan's driver get to Aukland?launish116 wrote:great for john afoa but "The prop's wife is expecting the couple's third child in 10 weeks and he is currently on a break home" wouldn't that be start of heinekn cup again sadly?

Have these boys not heard of family planning? All rugby bairns should be born in June/July.BR wrote:How quick could Ronnie Flanagan's driver get to Aukland?launish116 wrote:great for john afoa but "The prop's wife is expecting the couple's third child in 10 weeks and he is currently on a break home" wouldn't that be start of heinekn cup again sadly?
Volunteer at an animal sanctuary; it will fill you with joy , despair, but most of all love, unconditional love of the animals.

He may leave early
Re: John Afoa
Would UR let him go home? He's contracted to us, and he should know that means whatever happens, he will play for us when we require him to. I don't think would be too happy to let his first choice TH go for a Heineken Cup semi (if we get there).launish116 wrote:great for john afoa but "The prop's wife is expecting the couple's third child in 10 weeks and he is currently on a break home" wouldn't that be start of heinekn cup again sadly?
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.
Re: John Afoa
I can hardly see UR making the guy stay with a newborn child on the other side of the world! His head wouldnt be in the game at all ffs.

I think the problem is 'on the other side of the world' bit. I would have thought that this was not the original plan.bangorboy wrote:I can hardly see UR making the guy stay with a newborn child on the other side of the world! His head wouldnt be in the game at all ffs.

I think once his missus left for NZ the writing was on the wall. John is obviously set on getting his AB place back and being with his family... Just hope we cant get an equally world class player to fill the gap.
