It is such a rough game.
Left hand, right hand, it doesn't matter. I'm amphibious.

You missed Fleming.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

that's grim for PW, bad injury to get at this stage in his career. wish him all the best.

it's been said before but this year is unreal for injuries. possibly too many players playing too close to the limits of their fitness? some real freak knocks to boot.

Paddy McAllister

Stephen Ferris
Sean Doyle
Chris Henry
Nick Williams
Roger Wilson
Tommy Bowe
Chris Farrell
Paddy Wallace
Jared Payne
Peter Nelson
Adam D'Arcy

Fourteen injuries :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
>jawdrop You could assign each injured player to a positon and we would have an incredibly strong team. Not good

I watched part of a programme on RTE the other night about Tommy Bowe's body and the stresses it is under during a rugby match. There was a comparison between the amount of energy required to shatter an aluminium bar and the amount of energy produced by Bowe at top speed and the effect sudden stops and changes of direction had on his joints - scary!! There is no doubt that the current vogue for bulking players up is causing unimaginable stresses and inevitably this will lead to more and more injuries.

Is the above accurate in terms of when the players will be back?

That could be that for Paddy, as far as I believe may be looking at 6 months or more out, then rehab time to get back. At this stage of his career I wonder will either he or Ulster think that it is worth the contract renewal.

I really really hope both do, a legend to the province and still has much to offer :salut:

Probably accurate Neil, although Bowe may be back for the Dragons game.

Wallace will be back. He's too strong willed to give up now. PlanetRugby have announced that Wallace is out for the season.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.
