Attendance motivations at Ulster Rugby
Hi Everyone,
My name is Katy and I am a final year student at Uni of Ulster. As part of my dissertation I am undertaking research to see whether the attendance motivations of Ulster Rugby Club are the same as the reasons that the fans go to watch the match. Im hoping the outcome with be that I better understand the reasons why people go to Ulster rugby matches and in turn hopefully factors that mean we can get more people to come and support.
I would really appreciate it if you could please take a couple of minutes out of your time (it really doesn't take long) to fill in this short survey.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate this.

Fill it in guys and gals - it's very quick.
I suspect most of the responss from this forum will be quite similar.

I thought 'to watch the feckin rugby' was an obvious omission.

Thanks so much guys!!
Most helpful forum yet!
If you can keep the support coming, the numbers have jumped but I still need more!
You would think "to watch the feckin rugby" or "to support ulster" would be obvious however theres a wide spectrum of answers, some of which are....interesting.
Thanks again!!

"Might I ask if the interesting answers are the ones that you've had written in the "other reasons" column?"
Yes, exactly and I suppose to an extent it leads you to give the real reason in the dialogue box however most of the people who have filled out the survey have given the reasons already given as an addition to liking rugby.
But its good to hear thoughts on the survey so that I know what the limitations are also.
HwoodMike2umate...I would have to say Im probably "undecided" at this stage, however if you get about ten people to fill it in, I would be leaning slightly more toward Yes.

Picking 5 reasons why I go to Ravenhill or what encourages me to buy tickets is pretty difficult as if there was no rugby it wouldn't matter what else was about the place or likewise most of us here went even when the place was a wreck as it was always our wee wreck.

I don't mind at all.Kate_Kernohan wrote:Oh great, thats what Im working with here then haha.

By the way if you had mentioned cheerleaders even very slightly in very small print Holywoodmike would have that down as his number one reason for attending, that is the hope that they will appear is all that keeps him coming back

hahaha then HolywoodMike should write that on the "is there anything you would change" question. Would definitely give me a laugh when I'm analysing all the results
