Have you guys not read any of Russ's other Posts? Ignore.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!
Re: Transfers
Murphy has had a lot of problems with injuries and hasn't played that much rugby in the past 2 years which seems to be a reoccurring theme for young front rowers at Ulster, he is meant to be ok but some at Banbridge rated their 2nd choice hooker Peter Cromie, who is in the 20's this year, as a better player.

Cromie is a quality player, just like his elder brother.RuPi wrote:Murphy has had a lot of problems with injuries and hasn't played that much rugby in the past 2 years which seems to be a reoccurring theme for young front rowers at Ulster, he is meant to be ok but some at Banbridge rated their 2nd choice hooker Peter Cromie, who is in the 20's this year, as a better player.
Murphy just has an attitude problem and is fond of stirring up trouble around the local nightlife, to be fair, haven't seen a lot of him on the pitch, but do you want to have a Kurtley Beale on your hands?
Now now setanta, play nice
Re: Transfers
Dunno think we could cope with a Kurtlay Beale somewhere in the threequarters.
Re: Transfers
Dunno. Think back to the last eejit we had - brilliant player but a pain in the ar$e in the dressing room I was led to believe - left us to go to Northampton.

Having a junior player with a bit of a penchant for having a bit of a good time off the pitch is fine, he can easily be pulled into line by the senior players setting an example and by the management reminding him that its his career at stake.
A senior player with a problem is a different matter. He can stir up bother and can knows that he can and will get a deal elsewhere if he falls out with the management.
People can and do change, and much of it is down to the environment they are in, look at how P3 turned things around by coming here.
This lad Murphy is but a kid, give him a break.

Peter Cromie is a better player, and will likely be in the Academy in the next 2 years
Re: Transfers
Plenty of young rugby players have a penchant of having a good time off the field especially when injured.
Murphy was highly rated, shame he is injury prone though.
