Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster vs Glasgow
I have now seen enough to move Porter from possible to probable. Good physical showing from him.
To those who declare that we played well, but these things happen or we were unlucky, I beg to differ. We did some things well, but scoring is a fundamental part of the game and we didn’t manage to achieve that in the second half despite dominating possession and territory.
Better, but still not good.

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster vs Glasgow
Would probably agree with that but to those who say that beagle cost us the match with THAT pass, yes it was poor, but it no more cost us the game than all the butchered chances at the other end by other players.Snipe Watson wrote:I have now seen enough to move Porter from possible to probable. After another match in which we dominated possession and territory for large chunks of the game it just adds to the evidence that we need BFN in the team and that Roger is useless. Last week it was obvious to a blind man that if BFN had played HE would have crossed the whitewash. Last night was the same .... if only Nick had played ...... oh wait! ......

It was pure scour, not poor.Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Would probably agree with that but to those who say that beagle cost us the match with THAT pass, yes it was poor, but it no more cost us the game than all the butchered chances at the other end by other players.Snipe Watson wrote:I have now seen enough to move Porter from possible to probable. A pro player should see that this is a one score game, and we're making mistakes on offence, so by feck, we do not make mistakes on defence.Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Would probably agree with that but to those who say that beagle cost us the match with THAT pass, yes it was poor, but it no more cost us the game than all the butchered chances at the other end by other players.Snipe Watson wrote:I have now seen enough to move Porter from possible to probable. Fair enuff - but was he RESPONSIBLE for the defeat?Snipe Watson wrote:It was pure scour, not poor.Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Would probably agree with that but to those who say that beagle cost us the match with THAT pass, yes it was poor, but it no more cost us the game than all the butchered chances at the other end by other players.Snipe Watson wrote:I have now seen enough to move Porter from possible to probable. Was that ONE incident the sole deciding factor in Ulster's defeat?

Cap - no
However in a tight game his mistake directly led to their winning score.

Correct!Russ wrote:Cap - no

If others had played their part correctly, would it have been a tight game?
I put it to you sir, that many players cost us that game, and beagle should not stand accused on his own.
At least we now know that Maaaak made the correct call in the players he dropped from last week ...... we were winning that match until the subs came on and we lost it from there - clearly THEIR fault!

Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster vs Glasgow
On what logic? Yes he did not have a brilliant match once he came on but he hasn't started a game yet, and I don't think he was getting the same support from Hendo behind than Black was with Muller. To say it's the "end of Tom Court" is rubbish.Russ wrote:Could be the end of Tom Court
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

is his bind of pulling the jersey away legal? he looks like hes lost a lot of weight also!ruckover wrote:On what logic? then again last season there was thought black should of been a head of him, the he stepped his game ad scrumaging up a gear!
and a interesting fact mentioned last night black was in almost every squad last season.
Re: Positives & Negatives: Ulster vs Glasgow
Certainly not the end, but maybe in the decline... Needs to get Angry again!Russ wrote:Could be the end of Tom Court
That said, not taking anything away from Black - super shift last night and one of our most consistent performers of late

Yeah I was stating the blindingly obvious! You don't always get such frankness with coaches/managers, some like to keep the criticism in the changing room only. I like his frankness, I know others might not. I wonder what the players think.Snipe Watson wrote:well he was being interviewed Dave........Dave wrote:This might be posted elsewhere but Maaaaak isnt shy about sharing his opinion.
