In leagues below 1A the top team will be promoted automatically, teams 2-5 will play off for the 2nd promotion spot.

Kofi that could mean Bangor Ards and Dee could all be in Ql1.
Their treasurers will be happy for a season at least.
Personally think 40 teams still to many 20 would be more realistic.

It is not looking promising for Instonians, Gannon and Malone at present.

Ards a poor mans Malone, a club were success is based on their 4th XV getting to Ravenhill. Tail wagging the dog

Armagh gave Ards an 18 nil kicking last week.

I don't have any affiliation to any club side but from an Ulster perspective the more club sides playing in 1A can only be good for Ulster the Province in the long term as has already been discussed on another thread so yes if Hinch can stay up and build a squad that can challenge in 1A then that will be good, they have beaten Young Munster and Cork Con.

As it stands:
1A - Hinch are in play-off position, probably v Bucaneers at home.
1B - Dungannon are down, Malone need a point at most v Corinthians at home. Quins okay.
2A - Ballymena are up.
2B - Inst are in play-off position v Kanturk (?) at home.
Better than it was looking a few weeks ago.

Inst play Kanturk
Malone need a point as Blackrock wont overturn points difference of over 40 points
Playoff for Hinch is against Buccs with Hinch at home. Buccs cant be caught in second

In the unlikely event that Hinch beat Clontarf on Saturday and Dolphin get no points from their match, Hinch and Dolphin would be on the same league points , but Hinch could move away from the play-off spot on superior points difference.
In the even more unlikely event that Hinch get a 5 point win against Clontarf on Saturday and Young Munster get no points from their match, they are drawn into the play-off equation as well.
