Ask the Opposition - RC Toulon

Post by Loki »

After a curate's egg against Leicester Tigers there's some pretty serious flaws to be addressed in our performance, so where better than a sure-to-be-rocking-Raverspan and a visit of les Euro-fromages grandes Toulon? :D

The English media would probably have us all believe that the Johnny Wilkinson Rugby Roadshow is now the Stefon Armitage Invitational XV so let's address that by doing what they can't and asking Toulon fans some half-decent questions that might shed some light on their team.

I'll dust off my GCSE French Dictionary and mangle any questions here into Franglais around Wednesday evening. The Leicester lads were top notch (and I still plan to put the rugby network answers up)...hoping for more of the same from les Toulonnais. I may cut the q's down to a round 10 to save myself some time in the edit but sure we'll see how it goes. Cheers and get cracking :thumleft: :fleg:

When home games are moved down the road to Nice (like in January), do the club put on special trains/buses for the fans to get there from Toulon?

Whats the background to the newspaper throwing by the fans at the home games?

Do they think that having too many star players leads at times to the team not being settled enough to perform to the standard they should.

Win ERC final, lose T14 final OR lose ERC final, win T14 final - what would you prefer?

Do they think we have decent strength in our squad? (Probably not being toulon fans but thought I'd ask all the same, leave this bit out Loki!)
Do they think we will be difficult opponents?
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

How many players in your best starting 23 come from within 100 miles of Toulon?
It's the hope that kills you.

What is the point in moving a pool match to a football stadium 150 ams away, in the middle of winter?

Why don't the coaches trim some blubber off Armitage and FatBastard? They are running around like Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Over the years, many star studded and strongly fancied French teams have been beaten at Ravenhill.

Do you expect to win on Saturday?

I see the likeness, a bit more time in the sun or spray tan and you could well be right Spiffy
