Re: Graces Strikes Again!
20 20 fulltime. Leinster in QF. Harlequins out. Wasps have to wait. Goode missed final ball drop goal. Madigan expensive!!
Re: Graces Strikes Again!
Fair play to Wasps for getting back into it. Leinster imploded in the second half. Boss takes the zing out of any attack. Fitz and McFadden looking keen. Cruel luck for D Kearney. Fanning again does not look up to it at this level.
Re: Graces Strikes Again!
Will Greenwood has just made the point about ref consistency and how Harlequins will be as annoyed as anyone.
Was going to start this thread had it not been done already.
People trying to justify the Payne card with any reasonable argument for it, has all gone the way of Anscombe.
Hate the way we are called Kingspan now btw with the sky pundits refering to it as being not an easy place to come to.
Its about as intimidating a name as spamalot.

Re: Graces Strikes Again!
For the record I think neither are worthy of a red card, but where is the consistency Farces!

Re: Graces Strikes Again!
Very clear red card, dangerous in the extreme, bottled by Garces. Kearney appeared badly injured, unlike Goode he will now miss matches.
Incomprehensible that the same ref who made the Payne decision, which which had as much as no intent but plenty of stupidity can make that decision on a tackle that had intent aplenty.
Is there a reluctance to red card after 4 seconds that vanishes after 4 minutes?

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

I think there is a reluctance to give red cards against english sides due to the abuse they will get in the media.BaggyTrousers wrote:Very clear red card, dangerous in the extreme, bottled by Garces. Kearney appeared badly injured, unlike Goode he will now miss matches.

Same they will give red cards in the benefit of english sides.
Not even a conspiracy theory
Re: Graces Strikes Again!
laughable how BOD and Delaglio try to justify the refs decision and now 24hrs later the esteemed pundits now appear to be admitting the Garces made an error. Credit to Joe Worsley last night said Johnson was a lucky lad
Re: Graces Strikes Again!
The whole business of sanctions for tackles in the air has to be sorted out. At the moment it is just a lottery on how the player falls. If he lands on his head it is red, any other part of his body is yellow. Kearney landed on his shoulder and was out for the entire match; yet he could have landed on his head, remained uninjured and just got up and played on, but it would still have been a red card. So where's the sense in all this. I don't believe in reffing relative to outcomes. The offense should be judged on its own and not by what happens afterwards by pure chance. The offense is taking a player out in the air and should not be assessed by how he happens to fall.BaggyTrousers wrote:Very clear red card, dangerous in the extreme, bottled by Garces.
