Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
I heard a rumour, just a rumour mind, that the Ravens might have.................
........won!
........won!
Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Read elsewhere that it finished 15-13, Andrew and Taggart with tries for the Ravens.
Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Considering the Munster side that would be a decent win.
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?

Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Sounds like an excellent win!
Without wanting to divert from the glory of the moment, having read above about the changing facilities, do I remember rightly that when we played against Banbridge many moons ago, we changed in a sort of garage behind a pub?

Anyone injured? Anyone dismissed?
Re: Not the Ulster Ravens
Can you be cited from an 'A' fixture?

15-13 win, but by the skin of our veritable teeth. JJ Hanrahan missed a penalty with the last kick of the game. Penalty was awarded for infringing at a maul that was headed for the try line before collapsing.
Played in fits & starts. I got there late but think McCluskey had went off injured. Though he didn't appear to be limping or anything. Hopefully someone can shed a bit more light on it. Some very nice handling, passing & movement on occasion combined with some silly errors. Munster were 6-0 up before a decent Ulster try (maybe Michael Allen, apologies can't remember). Heaney missed the conversion.
Second half Munster ramped things up in the forwards, started throwing their weight around & hammering us at the scrum. They got a converted try from a decent line out drive. Warwick & Murphy (yeah me too) came on though & sorted the scrum out.
Ulster got a try back after a great breakout move from deep in their own half. Some more pressure from Ulster & Heaney nailed a penalty in front of the posts. Conor Joyce caught the kick-off stepped the Munster chasers and passed well. Donncha O'Callaghan clattered him late though & seen yellow for his troubles.
Munster were then pressing in the final moments, before said missed penalty.
Not a great match report, apologies. Decent spells in fits & starts, but definitely two sides not used to playing with each other.
Special mention for Donnacha Ryan, he played at blindside & I thought he was excellent. Good to see him back.

It is hard enough to remember my opinions, without also remembering my reasons for them

Friendlies don't normally have citing officials and provinces don't usually cite other provinces. I expect at least 7 of our squad to be banned by this time next week!Dave wrote:Can you be cited from an 'A' fixture?
