Yes & No Rooster, yes because the last angle looks less damning but no because he was always going to take the chance to be Billy Big Balls, the card is mightier than the brain at crisis times for Nigel. :duh:

Used to be a decent ref, now a legend in his own mind.

Stupid in the extreme by Hendy and arrogant from Nigel who rushed to judgement. If this is not overturned, it will be an absolute travesty.
Will the panel be an Irish one since it was an all Irish match?

Spot on BT . Unfortunately our Nigel has lost the reality plot and now believes he's bigger than the game. Watched him on the line recently and even his intonation was that of Instruction as opposed to assistance / opinion. His canonisation on Bakebook is fuelling the beast. I hope those who refer to him as a legend spare a thought for a potential real legend who's season has most likely been ended prematurely by yet more grandstanding .

Interesting too that from the resultant penalty, Munster formed a maul and Robbe Diack worked his way right through the middle for Nige to penalise him for side entry just as he was being pulled OUT the side by a Munster player. They were playing that advantage when McCloskey was correctly penalised for taking Murray without the ball, but I wonder if they hadn't been playing advantage would that passage of play have been different anyway.

I know refs make mistakes (wot? Nigel makes mistakes? Never!), but it seemed by then that Nigel had his mind made up to penalise Ulster at every stage and Munster could play with impunity.

Everyone hates us - we don't care! (Actually, we do)

The panel will just see two things: reckless + head on head collision=ban.

They will only consider one thing - that Nigel can't be wrong!!
Hope is not a strategy.

Maybe they should bring in a rule that if the ref seeks input from the TMO then he has to wait for the TMO to give him his ruling and he has to go along with it. What's the use of the TMO if he doesn't get to be the one to decide. I mean he is the one who can look cloesly at all the angles.

Shan, I agree in principle... Yet deite having all the angles I have seen way too many woeful TMO decisions...

D'arseys try for us vs Treviso. There was a try by Glasgow this year that was utter dung decision. Plus slow mo reruns can make Mother Theresa look like Fred West...
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

There are those who would have you believe she was nowhere near as GOOD as Fred West, and that's without the aid of slo-mo.

Video referee decision at its best. Still unbelievable! Shows respect players have for the referee, imagine if this was football and the decision was wrongly made.

If it is anything like Ulster Branches Disciplinary system then he will get a lengthy ban. 'Referee is never wrong' is there motto so don't expect anything except a ban
