OK, now at the outset I'll tell yis that some of this is Gospel - say "Amen" - and some is mere conjecture. Right?

OK then, just imagine that there was a gagging clause in the signed contract, highly important to the player who wants to be the master of his announced departure from his current team. Just imagine that some blabberbake told the BBC, "it's Ryan Kankowski, Ulster are signing Kankowski" and within an hour or two of the BBC making ballixes of themselves, UR contact them and say, "thanks lads, you've scuppered the deal, you facking clampits".
