Woefully passive and disorganised defence in the first half.
Narrow defence exposed again.
Lack of line speed in attack with no creativity.
wasteful with possession.
We are a weak team.

we looked poor team today and at home with a decent crowd out. Regardless of some decision that did not go our way (and some dodgy ones that did) we were too inaccurate and beat ourselves. D Cave was a disaster in defence and marshall made too many poor decisions at crucial times. Gilroy and L Marshall looked good and thought brown did well as did front row McCall. WE got what we deserved.

Loki wrote:Should never have lost that. Grim second half, we left it far too late to replace Marshall. Some rotten calls but the amount of mistakes on our part were legion. Too many people thinking bonus points before the game is secure.
Was crapping my pants every time Beagle touched the ball.
Pienaar did not add much when he came on. He seems to have lost his zip and looked quite ponderous.
Really poor performance by Ulster, especially in defence. Depressing.

If anybody tries to defend Paul Marshall after that performance then they are deluded. He was horrendous.
You haven't seen me at my best yet. Let's be honest, you probably never will.

Agree Loki, if Browne can perform like that consistently he's a useful squad addition. Is he playing for a contract?
The Beast has a year left on his deal. He was one of the better performers today.

I was starting to get worried about the fact that the Pro 12 Final clashes with my mate's 40th birthday party. Maybe I'll start looking for a new shirt now.

It has been coming if the last 2 matches were anything to go by. Will need to improve dramatically or top 4 is gone, reckon that defeat puts top 2 out of equation.

Has our defence system been found out? Last few games teams are getting outside us far too easy!

He was.
Cave and Wilson managed to make a couple of howlers between them. Poor defensive discipline creating difficult situations that were then badly handled by falling off tackles.

Our attack is also insipid. One out passes to static runners is not good enough.

For all our ineptitude (beagle looking at you), if we'd have kicked our f__king penalties, we'd have won.

Yep, instead we kick to the corner twice and get nothing. Small Paul was terrible but leaving those points out there was the difference in the end.

It was coming this defeat, had been on the cards for weeks. Costly.

One word to sum us up was passive.
Defence and attack always on their terms.
No go forward in attack or aggressive defence to stick us on the front foot and them on the back.
This meant we shovelled crap and allowed them the run of us in defence.
We couldn have waiting till Christmas and still not scored when we were camped on their line.
Missed Williams and McCloskey badly in these areas.

That was a one point hiding
