Forgive my lack of knowledge, but do bums on seats even matter given the TV money?
Short term view of course - TV money relies on a decent audience, and this will be way down on previous years given the fanbase. I'm guessing they gambled on Toulon/Clermont getting to the final and bringing a decent crowd, and it has backfired spectacularly.
10k 'real' fans there at best I reckon. Might fill a few thousand more with freebies but they won't be fooling anyone

Certainly not as important as the TV and sponsorship money. Still though they will want to cover the cost of putting on the match I'd say. Those 70k+ finals would have brought in nearly £3million in ticket sales. It's still a nice bit of cash.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.

Very important as the tv deal plus sponsorship is lower than the previous total so less bums on seats and the PRO12 were very wise to have their pot of filthy lucre guaranteed, les Frogs and Rosbifs won't be getting much.

Montpellier win the junior final. Quins had a go last 20, not enough. 26-19 FT. Will mean Pot 4 in next year's heiny will be Munster, Zebre, Sale, 6th and 7th in the Top 14. 50% chance of a French team - 75% chance of avoiding a trip to Salford!
Stupid decision to kick it away with the clock gone!
