Saw this picture earlier and thought 'holy feck we could lose them all'. Am I being overly cynical or is it a realistic possibility for our season to be over at xmas?
Without Paddy, I fear the worst away to Cardiff. I have zero fecks for the SDC, but losing twice in any context will have ramifications for confidence etc. We have never lost to Connacht at home but unless we find some form, it will be tricky. Leinster away is a defeat all day long.
Sure do we not just send the wee lads down to the RDS to give Ruan the boys time to put their feet up over Christmas? So really we should just be targeting the home game against Connacht. It's just like the old days, except we now get Guinness for the home games-I like it
Win 1 lose 4 season terminal before Coetzee even pulls on the bloody shirt.
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.
Winning vs Connacht at home and getting 2 points out of the other two games would be a reasonable result, and might still allow for a charge later in the season.
Might beat Cardiff, Clermont will beat us in both games - fair point about the short turnaround to the Westies game. Send the likes of the Duke to Montferrand. Will hopefully beat Connacht. No doubt IRFU player management rules will mean our internationals will need another rest after that and the Duke etc will show up at the RDS with predictable results.
