Now we're brill again I expect a lot of teeth gnashing when a further ten of our players aren't selected.

Unfortunately I can't quite see Paddy making the plane ahead of Farrell, Ford, Biggar and Sexton. Mind you, if St Johnny is not fit for the 6N and Paddy grabs the chance, based on his form at present, he should be pushing very hard. He has really come on since the SA tour. Biggar may suffer unless Wales turns things around between now and January.

Rory should be nailed on although given how Wazza treated him last go around, that could be an interesting initial conversation.

The idea of Hartley leading out the Lions turns my stomach.

For the love of God & Ulster STOP THIS SHYTE. :banghead:
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Hartley won't Captain the Lions.

Firstly the guy is from NZ secondly he is semi psycho . A brainfart away from a red card . And thirdly I expect most of the tour party to be English and an English Captain could fail to unite the tour party in such circumstances .

And last nights little episode could lead to a substantial ban due to his previous record .

Similarly I can't see Best being Captain I think that would be a humble pie to far for Gartland .

My outside bet would be Murray or PoM although the competition in the back row might count against PoM

I think Henderson and Paddy might not make it but I would expect them to be told " have a suitcase handy in case of an early morning Telephone call "

The competition in the second row is substantial .

Paddy may not suit Gartland's tactics or the game forced upon the Lions but Sexton is injury prone and Prieistland and Biggar are at best good Pro 12 .

Somebody out Burns name in the frame after to days game I don't see it

A long long time ago I had myriads if Fecks to give about the Lions... Alas after Woodnob and his power of 4 shat.... I have gone from little to an absolute Feck drought I'd much prefer our players had a summer off and i could enjoy an ABs romp.
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

Gatland doesn't like carrying fly halves on Lions tours

He'll take Farrell and if fit Janny (Jannys himmy concussion needs sorting though)

Russell is next in line IMO

Biggar is at best 4th in line and probably behind Ford right now

I don't rate Finn Russell at all. Paddy is a better flyhalf, but Paddy won't be on this lions tour either. Sexton, Biggar, Ford and Farrell as a 10/12.
