Ha ha, I think McCall is long enough in the tooth to realise that Munster will be an entirely different proposition this weekend. Usually Munster and Leinster play well prior to a big european game though so slightly surprised by that but nevertheless this is the game the Red Army have been waiting for. Should be a physical encounter.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'
Anyone who thinks Mark Mccall would have turned things around if ulster had stuck with him all those years ago clearly cannot remember just how bad the state of ulster rugby was back then. Fair play to Mark McCall for rebuilding from there to become what he is today and i am sure he learnt a lot from his ulster days.
Of course he could turn things around here now, but at the time it was right to let him go, for all involved. Too soon after his playing his days and too close to home, which become difficult issues to resolve when things start unravelling.
The guy never had a chance when he stepped up to the head coaching job. Too many dicks in the squad who didn't respect him. A few dickheads in the community also thought what they knew what was going on and hurled a lot of personal abuse. He needed a fair chance and didn't get one.

Totally agree! As a coach, he was way ahead of his time - a sort of new age Jimmy Davidson.

Still the last coach to win a trophy with Ulster
