Stephen Donald has not signed for Ulster

Re: Stephen Donald has not signed for Ulster
Lord save us but rum has it spot on. Donald reckons he has a few more seasons in him. Why would he come here for a year? Better to sign a more versatile player who can play other positions should PJ be able to return. Christ, I can't believe I'm agreeing with rum. Think I need salvation.

baggy sorry for any confusion over Charles.. he is staying until he said he would... as for Donald for us lay-men on the street he is the most obvious choice out there but then again we are at the disadvantage of not working for Esportif or having the foresight of Col. Bogey.BaggyTrousers wrote:You have to think this of Stephen Donald, yes he's a very good player, you don't get 22 NZ caps without being good, but is he what Ulster want, does he fulfil the main criteria given he's not Irish? Is he a Christian?
I'll guarantee you right now that whether or not the guy can play, Ulster will sign a Christian.
And another thing. Did anyone in their wildest dreams think Charless would not be off at the end of the season???????? The only surprise to me is that it's Bristol, though unless I'm talking keek, his brother is there too.

Yes Cockers, it appears Donald is more concerned with when the whitebait are running, not to mention that he's getting married in NZ in January, however, all this is frippery when put beside the big question.Cockatrice wrote:baggy sorry for any confusion over Charles.. he is staying until he said he would... as for Donald for us lay-men on the street he is the most obvious choice out there but then again we are at the disadvantage of not working for Esportif or having the foresight of Col. Is he a CHRISTIAN? I don't think he is and it's inconceivable Ulster will sign a non-CHRISTIAN. I think Donald will be beavering away for another few years, but not at CHRISTIAN Ulster.
Does anyone know if Paddy Jackson, the former Ulster outhalf, is a CHRISTIAN?
NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

He might be... But in this situation he ISN'T....

He's no saint, but they did try to sign him. Christian's have done well for us so I'd welcome another. Namely a certain Christian on the radar.

Does Lealiifano not have another year to go on his contract?

It's a flexible contract.therealspratt wrote:Does Lealiifano not have another year to go on his contract?

Weird reaction on bakebook. Some complaining because he had just returned to playing following a cancer diagnosis.

Weird people on bakebook though so expect weird remarks, some great ones about Ulster and Charles leaving, thrown out, not wanted etc etc, Ruan all over aain, must be Logans fault.Dave wrote:Weird reaction on bakebook. No news on the BelTel website this morning, they have been pretty good lately at getting news out just before Ulster announce it.

If it is not on the BBC 1:30 news then it will be next week, suppose it could be used to sell a few tickets for next Thursday night even though he won't be playing

Apparently he can play in the centre and can kick penalties under pressure. Has to be worth a punt at this stage.

Surely there must be a half decent out-half somewhere currently injured that can be announced before the season kicks off to help season ticket sales.
