Is CL likely to hit the ground running like some think? A year off two bit part friendlies in June/July and a leg injury to recover from... all might be a bit too much to say he is up to speed from the start... he might need time to find his fitness.. hopefully not as we need him from day one to the end.

1. Christian arrives at George Best Airport

2. Christian is met by team mates and offered a cup of coffee

3. Christian attempts to eat a bun that Rodney had his eye on...

4. Rodney gives Christian a gentle push to remind him who's boss around cream buns ...

5. GG gets call as Christian complains about pain in knee

Its the Ulster Way!
Always ask yourself, "What would Big Rodney do"... And every time the answer is... "Eat It"

I'd expect to see Cooney start at 10 before our latest Christian does.
In terms of adjusting to time difference, it is indeed different, but I expect Christian to be here or on his way here right now, so he'll be ready to go.
My point was, that a quality player can slot straight in and play well with less than ideal preparation time.
Well sure, he only has to throw a ball to someone or kick to the corner. It's not rocket science.

He'll either be jet-lagged or he won't but he's not match-fit anyway of course.

There's a school of thought that says start him and finish with someone else, rather than bench him in case the starter gets broken in the first ten minutes. Not sure I buy into that one personally.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see although we really shouldn't be expecting too much from him after his illness.
Are any of them match fit?
