Was at the finals day. The France USA game was v good, the final was a superb watch. Good crowd for the final.
Real mix of people at the ground, good day out.

FRAvUSA and ENGvNZL were two of the best rugby matches I've seen at Ravenspan all year! And probably the only chance to see silverware and medals this season.

Really entertaining final. Some good players on both sides. Great to see such a big crowd too. Those kiwi props could certainly carry. Scrumaging not so hot.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Was great planning to put the top two teams in the same hotel must have been hard on the English girls.... anyhow I thought both teams put up a great performance which made for an entertaining game and good advertisement...
The Irish debacle was on the cards for months but at least the story is filtering out now... the Ozzie ulsterhater has his fingerprint all over this and great to see the shyte coach is being rewarded with another job within the IRFU... wonder what they will give the colonel after he wins us the real World Cup?

Nice of him to let others fall on his sword

Watched the final last night. Was hoping England would win but in the end NZ were just too good.

Were they put in the same hotel, or did they (ie their own unions) put themselves in the same hotel?Cockatrice wrote:Was great planning to put the top two teams in the same hotel

If Dixon of Dock Green had been a woman, when making his trademark anti-crim summation, he too would have been splitting hairs. **Cap'n Grumpy wrote:Were they put in the same hotel, or did they (ie their own unions) put themselves in the same hotel?Cockatrice wrote:Was great planning to put the top two teams in the same hotel

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Should read. I don't know why no-one has put 2 and 2 together and realised that Kierney is the ideal coach for Ulster. The style of play he obviously loves is an ideal fit. Kiss could then be released for the Women's 7s side.waggonsroll wrote:I don't know why no-one has put 2 and 2 togeth

Re: Weemen's Rugby
Is it splitting hairs, Baggy?
It was a genuine question.
If as most teams do, to the best of my knowledge, the Unions sort out their own accommodation and Lionel-ess-land and NZ booked themselves into the same hotel, that indeed could be seen as poor planning ......or absolutely brilliant planning by NZ.
On the other hand, if the hotel allocation was by IRFU and/or Ulster Branch, then the planning definitely was indeed very poor.
Just wondered where the blame lay, or, if indeed blame needs to be apportioned.

Re: Weemen's Rugby
The Woman's Rugby World Cup is organised by World Rugby.... I presume the IRFUs only responsibility was Ireland and that URs was to find a new 10 and to get the shambolic excuse for a professional rugby side currently masquerading as Ulster ready for the coming season.
