Rassie Erasmus played for the South African Springboks - as opposed to which other Springboks?

Not from the master himself, but from Dave Flatman, knobhead.
"Wasps just could not score today, apart from the scores they scored".
Actually, it may surprise you, but it's amazing how often that happens, David.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Flatters has taken too many blows to the scone, but I find the Prem highlights program addictive and I always have a laugh at him.
Gusher just gets funnier with age and as the Beeb have no obvious replacements chomping at the bit, he'll be around for a while yet.
He must be past the three score and ten now, but he looks like he did in 1976. I wish I did.

It's bloody typical. We can't even produce our own commentators. We will probably have to sign a project.Tighter End wrote:Flatters has taken too many blows to the scone, but I find the Prem highlights program addictive and I always have a laugh at him.

We won't get approval from D4. They'll ship us an IQ ( ours is low) who'll be paranoid about his Lucky Charms.

Jim is perfect for Ulster, we deserve each other - harmless incompetence, Ben Kay need not worry.
Plus, imagine if we had Mark Robson on BBC NI; Indeed what about a few Robsonisms; to start the ball rolling, one that I can never remove from my memory (so I'll share it with you all), he once described Bernard Jackman's skull, back in his playing days, after a particularly aggressive ruck clean out, as looking like it had been through a 'bacon slicer' !! FFS Robbo, I can never, ever unsee the image that you imprinted in my mind - I remember Stuart Barnes co-commentating, almost puked on air!

Clarke is doing really well. Gusher claimed that the Ospreys won a scrum against us at one point tonight.

Re: Gusherasms
He also had Mike Ross starting in an unfamiliar position in the back row.
However, you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.

Re: Gusherasms
Not Gusher, but Q-Radio eejit announced the team including, "In the centres, Jacob Stockdale and Stuart McCloskey" (even though it was Stu and Darren Cave whose pictures were on big screen.
Then announced the back three as Cave, Bowe and Piutau (with clearly Stockdale, Bowe and Piutau on screen).
Was obviously reading a team list and seemed to think 11 & 12 are centres, with 13-15 as back three.

For all we may enjoy his increasingly numerous mistakes, he still commentates better than I (and I suspect many others on here) could manage.

Always liked Gusher... even though he went to Inst. Played prop apparently

By far!Cap'n Grumpy wrote:, he still commentates better than I (and I suspect many others on here) could manage.
a) he has the gift, I doubt anyone here has anything approaching that.
b) he has the experience, obviously nobody here has.
c) he does his prep.
The only thing I'd change about him is the habit of telling us all his wild guess at the reason for a ref's whistle, when if he'd shut up, we could hear the ref explaining the actual decision.
Re: Gusherasms
This thread celebrates Gusher and his little idiosyncrasies. I don't think anyone was making a case that they should replace him.
