Drink isn't the answer, trust me.
It may blot it out for a few hours, but FOLK will still be in charge tomorrow and with him at the helm, we'll be shyte.
Methinks he told them it was a game we could afford to throw away. How else do we explain that Pub Team performance?
Couldn't protect the ball, falling off tackles, shyte decision making... just like last season.

Zebre are a quality side. Wouldn't be surprised if they won the league. :D

At first watching, I don't blame Kiss for this afternoon's shïte. If the players had done the basics right, the personnel, tactics and systems looked adequate.

Our pack played like last season. Hendy seems like the kind of player who needs a couple of games under his belt to get going. Expect to see a lot more from him come the SDC games. Let's hope Deysel was also rusty as that was really poor from him.

The players who enhanced their reputation today were the likes if Henry and McCloskey which says it all.
Yup, you need to be a decent side to win away from home. We've had the easiest run of games I can remember for a long time and this should have been another one on that list. Our pack is going to get crucified when they eventually have to play someone half decent away from home. The bench today gives an insight into the depth at Ulster at the minute and it's a bit frightening.
Climb up onto the top of your house and start screaming: 'stand up for the Ulstermen, stand.......'

Where I would question the coaching is the inability to learn from and adapt to repeated successes from Zebre. The blame for that could lie in a number of places.

Agree, plus I'll add Zebre played above their last season average.

We were told this year that the players would be allowed the freedom to play what is in front of them... I presume some of that involves being able to adapt and adjust accordingly.. we are headless chicken.

Indeed, but obviously that doesn't/shouldn't mean 15 players doing their own thing.

As one example, on a number of occasions the Zebre 9 sniped down an unmanned blindside from a set scrum. That takes more than one player changing what he does in order to counteract.

Did the coaches highlight it, but the players didn't respond? Did the coaches provide the team with a viable defensive system to use in such circumstances, but the players failed to implement what was in their arsenal?

Signs this season that players are playing heads-up, but that needs to variation within a wider plan (especially in defence). If wider plan A is found wanting can players (as a unit) swap to wider plan B? Do they need approval from the sidelines? If they don't have the smarts to change, can the coaches make the call for them and will they respond?

Like i said, the root cause of that problem could lie in one or more of many places.

Sounds like my fault for talking about gin.

Pretty sure I mentioned too much positivity on this thread?

When were the new offside rules introduced?

Sure we'll tank Connacht next week and SUFTUM.

FOLK's a defensive guru?

The 23 on display today should hang their heads in shame, not even FOLK prevents them from embarrassment!

Please Rory have a word with Andy and advise him on how to have a word in the Ref's ear. If Andy had repeatedly brought the Zebra constant offside to the ref's attention the Zebra line speed would not have had the effect it did. Andy lacks a vital aspect of the captain's role.

I'm not sure anyone told the SRU.
