Yes he is, I particularly like his unreliable placekicking and his ability to pass directly into touch 4 times at Spanners last season. That apart he is rather good. :D

You may recall KOTH that gowls here used to regard Conor Murray as useless, POM as a throat-grabber who did nothing and Keet Earls about as much use as a carpet layer's ladder.

Carberry has not demonstrated that he can start a game at 10 and control it for 80 minutes. Even Leinster don't trust him to do that. He has little cameos here and there. When Sexton went off Conor Murray provided a masterclass in seeing out a game and did virtually all the kicking from hand. There is little evidence to say that he has moved on from his horror show against us. He was poleaxed twice against a team with the slowest line speed in Europe. He is too easy to read. Then he gets his arm broken doing the same thing during the AIs.

He is a long way from becoming a solid option as an international 10.

Ulster mightn’t have the chance to do the right thing with Paddy if acquitted

The problem with Carberry is once he spots being Carberry he becomes an ordinary undersized out half with an unreliable place kick .

Larmour will be twice the player of Carberry he is less inclined to play like a fart in a bottle .
