I have a feeling that in the “sponsors over fans” debacle, the masters have sided with the sponsors (and by default the hairy armpit brigade) to bin the boys early in the court case and have a review later to justify why. The petition (which I signed) was admirable in showing support for them (and necessary in countering the Anna Nolan “concerned fans” propaganda). However I fear the worst and perhaps it was pulled as damage limitation because not only did the petition show support for Jackson & Olding it showed collective anger and frustration which will inevitably result in Ulster fans walking out.
By the way where is Mr Logan?

I'm at a loss to see how pulling the petition could limit damage if the IRFU are going for the nuclear option. The only scenario where this makes sense is where the guys are being disciplined, short of termination.

I'd personally be a bit hesitiant about that. I don't know those involved personally, so if anyone can correct me then feel free, but I would suspect that someone who turns down large cash offers from the press for their story because they want to move on with their lives also might not want their name on a banner in a stadium.
