Probably because the match was on in Dublin.Dave wrote:Not a 10 on that pitch within a country mile of our Paddy.
Jeepers Shan it was a one point game!Shan wrote:Munster not good enough as I suggested on the other thread. Leinster didn't even really turn up for the game and we still couldn't beat them though it meant it was closer than it should have been. Beyond the pack, who were second best for much of the day, we only have Murray, who was poor today, and Earls. The rest are plodders. Fine against what passes as opposition in most Pro14 games but against the top 2 or 3 teams in that league they look out of place. POM gave a pass in the backline at one stage that none of our backs would be capable of. That says something about POM and his ability but it says much more about our backs and especially our alleged centres.
We have no second row. Thank feck Beirne is coming. We need Cloete to stay injury free next season. We need our first choice props to do likewise.....although even that leaves us well behind Leinster with their 4 props who'd get on most international teams.
Baz, There is no excuse. If we were a top team we'd have won this as Leinster were woefully under par. One point in it alright but we were given a try which was questionable and like against Racing we closed in after the game was already over. Kleyn also should have seen red.Liz Fraser wrote: Jeepers Shan it was a one point game!
The quality I anticipated wasn't there but why they didn't kick for goal on 68 minutes to make it a 2 point game I don't know.
Munster could have won that as Leinster were on.the come down from last week.
They should be kicking themselves right now only they'd likely miss.
He's in top form certainly. In overall terms - form + ability - he is behind POM and Leavy.Dave wrote:Jordi is the form backrow in Europe.

My looking at that decision about the penalty told me that POM was not the captain at that stage. That's a concern for me because I see him as our leader and standard bearer and along with Earls the one who kept us anyway competitive today. Something has gone wrong there over the last few weeks. Not sure if that is to do with the coaching regime or something with POM himself. He's giving 100% and IMO is still the best backrower in the country in terms of general play and impact but he looks frustrated or something.
I can't be arsed with nicey nicey now. We can compete with the mid to high rankers but we are a nice bit away from the very top. The reason for that is quite simply because we don't have enough quality players. I can't be bothered dressing it up. I want Munster to win.
As soon as the WhatsApps msgs reached the public it was over for Paddy and Stu. Is it true that if the case had taken place in the south they would most likely still be playing for Ulster? As I understand the msgs could not be released and their names would remain undisclosed until proven guilty. Any truth to this?Jackie Brown wrote:Starting to look that way, I hate this countryDave wrote:Looks like he will have to give up the game completely.
