Didn't see that, but might it have been Holly Hamilton from Greyabbey?justinr73 wrote:That blonde from NI who did the flossing at Wimbledon is alright.

Re: FIFA World Cup Russia 2018
When is it over?
I see that France apparently won a game at the weekend and celebrated in Paris by killing a couple of surrender monkeys. I suppose the upside is that if another war breaks out that's a couple fewer quislings to worry about.
I see my rugby hero Peter Clohessy now holidays in France every year, making mockery of his fine sentiment: I hate the French, I hate their food, I hate their country & I hate their people, from the 1990s. Clearly Claw, in a poor example to the country, "moved on". A poor example to the likes of Allen DiDDies, 49er and poor stupid WidestBallix, they doubtless think that Claw's road to Damascus revelation gives them currency.
I can only say I entered France, erupting out of the ground at Calais on 5th May at 8pm and made the relative safely of Irun in God's own country by midday on 7th after 2 stopovers. Only 1100 kilometres I grant you, but you try setting world record pace with two dogs in the car. Most of the people I met were harmless enough, but I knew if I got too close they would positively reek of rancid garlic and mouldy cheese that had just sat around for too long.
Horrible country, and as for that smiley little ballix who is a junior Trumpet, I wouldn't trust that one as far as I could throw Pierre Clohessy.

NEVER MOVE ON. Years on, I cannot ever watch Ireland with anything but indifference, I continue to wish for the imminent death of Donal Spring, the FIRFUC's executioner of Wee Paddy & Wee Stu, and I hate the FIRFUCs with undiminished passion.

Hatred of the French asides I think they deserved it particularly with their path to the final.
The proper final was their match v Belgium in the semis.
Comfortably the best two teams in the tournament.
Overall the final gave the tournament the match it deserved despite the inevitability of it.
I've heard it described as the best tournament since 86 and I would definitely go with that.
I would take the opportunity to congratulate Putin on a great job done but I think he's had all the smooze he can handle for one week.

Beautifully phrased Liz, "in the tournament" for as we all know fitba is hardly worth watching if it's not Spain at their best, they play a game that is entirely in keeping with Brazil's 4th goal in the 1970 final. However, a poor tournament for them, the many outlets selling Spain replica shirts at something approaching €25 are now flogging them off for €5.99, and no, I haven't bought one.Liz Fraser wrote:Hatred of the French asides I think they deserved it particularly with their path to the final.

The world cup is finished. Tis time to move on.
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.
