Never wrestle with a pig. You end up covered in muck and the pig loves it.
Re: Celtic Cup 2.0
Enjoyable match, players that stood out were Stewart Moore - he made a couple of good breaks when it looked like there wasn't much on. This being Ulster, he then hobbled off after about 20 mins...
The other centre Power played well, as did Stronge at 9, and Hughes on the wing looks like a livewire and good footballer. Curtis came on for Moore, and they stuck him on the wing, where he proceeded to have a reasonable game! Up front Caleb and Dalton were pretty good I thought, and Dunleavy had a decent game.
But the star of the show was Sexton - I think it's safe to start getting properly excited about him.. I'm not sure I would compare him to Tommy (who had a slightly ungainly gait, which was famously mistaken for a lack of pace by lots of idiots in the press), he is an absolute thoroughbred, smooth as silk, and if you show him the outside, he's gone.. But the best thing for me was that he looked like he could play rugby - he has good footwork, but also good hands, and a couple of times came into the line and instead of pinning the ears back, straightened up and passed when it was on. Also he still looks pretty slight, but he's strong - he ran into Williams, Dragons massive second row, a few times, and I was waiting for him to get absolutely busted, but he actually carried his weight well and survived them all. Very impressive..
(interested to see Bryn there, instead of in Limerick, bit odd?)

Just need to keep Lyttle fit long enough and along with Gilroy/Kernahan we are well set in the back 3 for a while yet.

I see the A team all en mass went over to the two Ulster supporters at the game and shook their hands , now that's humility and says alot about their attitude . Video somewhere of it .

Do you know what I'll tell ye, given all the injuries and an HC match, that looks pretty decent?Neill_M wrote:

Agreed, Bagster, will be a bit of an upset if they can't see off the Westies kids with that side. Missing a few as well - Tommy O'Hagan, Joe Dunleavy, Stewart Moore for starters. A lot of potential for the future.
