Japan RWC

Post by Setanta »

Serious question - as Japan has serious cultural problems regarding Tattoos; what are the implications for the RWC. The south-sea islanders have tattoos as part of their culture as do the Maoris, to which you can add certain English, Aussie and Kiwi players. There's even the odd Irish player.
From the rolling glens of Antrim through the hills of Donegal we will stand and shout for Ulster as we win both scrum and maul from the lovely lakes of Fermanagh tae the shores of ould Lough Gall we will scream and shout for Ulster as we beat them one and all!

There was talk of sleeves to cover them up

I never knew this was the case. I also find them disgusting but it doesn't put me off watching sport.
In soccer James McClean has his skinny arms covered in tattoos, looks a right show, like some kid who's scrawled biro all over himself.
Yes, that's me in the avatar!

In Japan, tattoos have long been associated with the notorious yakuza crime syndicates.

Beware of tattooed men with missing pinky fingers in Japan

Do they just think that anyone with a tatoo is in the yakuza?

Shirley someone could explain some people have them for other reasons?
I have my own tv channel, what have you got?
